{"id":8553,"date":"2019-03-15T11:24:57","date_gmt":"2019-03-15T11:24:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aiyon.es\/?p=8553"},"modified":"2019-03-26T10:05:50","modified_gmt":"2019-03-26T10:05:50","slug":"the-legal-regime-of-civil-liability-in-the-prestige-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aiyon.es\/en\/the-legal-regime-of-civil-liability-in-the-prestige-case\/","title":{"rendered":"The legal regime of civil liability in the Prestige case"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"\"><span class=\"\" lang=\"EN-GB\">The Faculty of Law of the University of Deusto, within the framework of the Master in Maritime Law, organised yesterday a workshop to analyse the &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.deusto.es\/cs\/Satellite\/deusto\/es\/universidad-deusto\/vive-deusto\/-protagonistas-del-%E2%80%9Ccaso-prestige%E2%80%9D-analizan-en-deusto-las-repercusiones-juridicas-del-proceso-\/noticia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Prestige case<\/a>\u201d. It was a special event because took part on it part of the direct protagonists of the procedure.<\/span><span class=\"\" lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><span class=\"\" lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><span class=\"\" lang=\"EN-GB\">The workshop was attended by the environmental prosecutor of Galicia, Mr. \u00c1lvaro Garc\u00eda Ortiz, with a conference titled &#8220;Prestige case, spills of hydrocarbons in the criminal jurisdiction&#8221;; the Captain and surveyor Mr. Fernando Cayuela who was nominated at the time by the Basque Government to intervene in the technical-judicial actions; the lawyer Luis Figaredo, who could not be present for reasons beyond his control but sent his presentation in writing under the heading &#8220;Legal strategy in the PRESTIGE case in the courts of the United States&#8221;; and our partner and colleague of Bilbao Mikel Garteiz-goxeaskoa, who developed an interesting talk about the &#8220;Legal regime of civil liability in the Prestige case&#8221;.<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><span class=\"\" lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><span class=\"\" lang=\"EN-GB\">From AIYON Abogados we want to thank those responsible for the Master and the University of Deusto for their invitation to take part in this interesting dissertation.<\/span><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Faculty of Law of the University of Deusto, within the framework of the Master in Maritime Law, organised yesterday a workshop to analyse the &#8220;Prestige case\u201d.
