Webinar by AIYON Abogados:
INCOTERMS® 2020 Rules and maritime transport

On 25 March 2021, Aiyon Abogados partners  Enrique Ortiz, José Domínguez y Mikel Garteiz-goxeaskoa, in collaboration with the CADIZ-PORT association, have offered a training on the Incoterms® Rules in relation to maritime transport.

The conference, followed in live streaming by dozens of people, was mainly about the Incoterms® 2020 Rules.

Our partners, from the Cadiz, Algeciras and Bilbao offices respectively, have offered a global vision of the international trade rules. Enrique Ortiz began his presentation by analyzing the origin and history of these rules of national and international application. Subsequently, they have developed very clearly which aspects the Incoterms® Rules determine and, on the contrary, which are excluded from their scope of application and must be agreed by means of other tools between the parties to the contract (seller/buyer). He has also presented us with an individualized and exhaustive analysis of each of the eleven (11) terms currently in force, and the consequences arising from the choice of one rule or another.  Finally, and as it could not be otherwise, the speakers highlighted the most interesting and relevant new features of the version of the Incoterms® 2020 Rules compared to the previous version of 2010.

An informative, agile and dynamic talk, of great interest, which has been very well received by the attendees and has been imparted with great professionalism and precision by the three members of our firm, expert in transport, trade and insurance law.
