Julia García

Julia holds a Law Degree from the University of Valladolid (1994) and a Masters Degree in EU Law from the Carlos III University of Madrid (1998).

Julia has been practicing law since 1998 and has been working for different specialized Spanish law firms such as Meana Green Maura & Co. and other renowned law firms specialized in aviation law. That has allowed her to acquire comprehensive knowledge in Air Transportation, Maritime, Insurance and International Trade Law before starting up, together with her colleagues, AIYON Abogados in July 2015, where she is a partner. Furthermore, she has attended several seminars and courses on her area of specialization, for instance that on Insurance and Civil Liability offered by P&I Clubs.

She has intervened in cases of great international importance and impact related to marine oil pollution, as well as in other cases related to maritime accidents, collisions, salvage, cargo and vessel claims, sanctioning proceedings, among others.

Apart from assisting clients in land goods in transit claims at national and international level, Julia is an expert in cases related to air accidents and all types of air passenger, baggage and/or cargo claims and possesses broad experience in this field.
